The Rock, directed by Michael Bay, is an action thriller that sees a mild-mannered FBI chemical weapons specialist, Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage), team up with a former British intelligence agent and Alcatraz escapee, John Mason (Sean Connery), to break into the infamous island prison. They must disarm deadly nerve gas rockets seized by a rogue group of U.S. Force Recon Marines threatening to attack San Francisco.
