Did You Know?
Luc Besson started writing the story for The Fifth Element when he was just 16 years old. The elaborate and colorful costumes were designed by French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. At the time of its release, it was the most expensive European film ever made. The unique alien language spoken by Leeloo was invented by Besson and Milla Jovovich and consisted of several hundred words; Jovovich became quite fluent in it.
