This 1983 space opera, directed by Richard Marquand, is the epic conclusion to the original Star Wars trilogy. The story follows the Rebel Alliance as they plan a final assault on the Galactic Empire's new and more powerful Death Star. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker struggles to complete his Jedi training and confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a final attempt to turn him back to the light side of the Force. The film opens with the daring rescue of Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba the Hutt and culminates in a massive battle that will decide the fate of the galaxy.

Interesting Tidbit: To prevent price gouging from vendors and to maintain secrecy during production, the film was shot under the fake working title Blue Harvest: Horror Beyond Imagination. The producers created merchandise like hats and T-shirts with the fake title for the cast and crew to wear, and call sheets and location signs all used the phony title to throw off fans and the press. The "horror" subtitle was a joke, suggesting it was a low-budget horror film instead of a massive sci-fi blockbuster.
