Interesting Tidbit: One of the film's most famous lines of dialogue was improvised by Harrison Ford. In the scene where Princess Leia finally professes her love for Han Solo just before he is frozen in carbonite, the original script had Han's reply as "I love you, too." During one of the takes, director Irvin Kershner felt the line wasn't working and told Ford to just say whatever came to mind. Ford changed the line to the coolly confident and much more character-appropriate, "I know." The take was so perfect that it was kept in the final film.
