South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, directed by Trey Parker, is a feature-length animated musical comedy based on the popular television series. When Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny sneak into an R-rated Canadian movie, they emerge with a foul-mouthed vocabulary that quickly infects all the children of South Park. This leads their outraged parents to form a protest group that declares war on Canada, leaving it up to the boys to save the world from Armageddon.
Did You Know?
The film holds a Guinness World Record for "Most Swearing in an Animated Film," containing 399 swear words. The satirical song "Blame Canada" was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The film was created under a great deal of secrecy while the show's third season was also in production. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone famously attended the Oscars in dresses, parodying outfits worn by Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow. The title itself is a risqué pun and also a jab at the film industry's marketing language.
