Point Break, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, is an action-crime thriller starring Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah, a rookie FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of surfers suspected of robbing banks to fund their adrenaline-fueled lifestyle. Utah finds himself drawn to the charismatic leader of the group, Bodhi (Patrick Swayze), and the thrill of their world, blurring the lines between his duty and his newfound passions.

Patrick Swayze, an accomplished skydiver, performed many of his own stunts, including some of the skydiving sequences (though not the famous final jump). The film's title refers to the surfing term "point break," where waves hit a point of land or rocks jutting out from the coastline.
