Lady and the Tramp is a live-action/CGI hybrid remake of Disney’s 1955 animated classic, directed by Charlie Bean. The story follows Lady, a pampered Cocker Spaniel, and Tramp, a street-smart mutt, as they embark on an unexpected adventure that shows them the true meaning of love and family. Set against a charming early-1900s backdrop, this reimagining stays faithful to the original’s spirit while adding fresh visual details and updated storytelling for a new generation.

Did You Know?

Real rescue dogs were used for the main characters, with Tramp being portrayed by a real-life shelter dog named Monte who was later adopted by one of the trainers.

The film was one of the first major releases on Disney+, premiering exclusively on the streaming service rather than in theaters.

Janelle Monáe contributed a new version of “He’s a Tramp” to the soundtrack and also wrote an original song for the film.

The iconic spaghetti dinner scene was recreated almost exactly from the original film, paying tribute to one of Disney’s most beloved moments.

The filmmakers updated certain aspects of the original story to be more culturally sensitive, while still maintaining the film’s nostalgic charm.
