Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is the penultimate installment of the Harry Potter film series, directed by David Yates. With Voldemort’s power growing, Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave Hogwarts behind and set out on a perilous mission to destroy the Dark Lord’s Horcruxes. As danger mounts and loyalties are tested, the trio faces their most challenging and emotional journey yet. Darker, more intense, and more personal, the film sets the stage for the saga’s epic finale.

Did You Know?

The decision to split the final book into two films allowed for a deeper, more faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s complex story.

Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe performed many of their own stunts, including the forest chase scenes.

Filming for Part 1 and Part 2 took place back-to-back over an intense 18-month period, the longest production schedule of the series.

The film's tone is much darker than previous installments, reflecting the characters’ loss of innocence and the looming threat over the wizarding world.

The dance scene between Harry and Hermione was improvised on set to offer a brief, bittersweet moment of lightness amidst the heavy atmosphere.
