Fight Club, directed by David Fincher, is a psychological drama that follows an unnamed, insomniac narrator (Edward Norton) who feels trapped and unfulfilled by his mundane, consumer-driven life. His world is turned upside down when he meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a charismatic and anarchic soap salesman who holds a deeply anti-materialistic philosophy. Together, they form an underground "fight club" where men can vent their frustrations through bare-knuckle brawling, an activity that soon escalates into a far more ambitious and dangerous movement.

Did You Know?

The film is based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. Upon its initial release, Fight Club was a box office disappointment and received polarizing reviews from critics. However, it found immense success on DVD and became one of the most iconic and debated cult films of the 1990s. Both Brad Pitt and Edward Norton actually learned how to make soap for the film. For authenticity, Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Marla Singer, insisted that her makeup artist apply all of her eye makeup with her left hand, believing the character would not be skilled at it.
